Let's take you

from flat to fantastic

Nutritional therapy is a holistic, client centred, evidence-based approach that employs the latest in nutrition science and lifestyle medicine. It is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I apply a Functional Medicine approach that focuses on supporting the underlying imbalances rather than just addressing or masking symptoms. This approach considers the impact of diet, lifestyle, and the environment on your health.

My Approach

Note:

Nutritional therapy is a complementary therapy, it is not an alternative medicine and should never be used as a replacement for medical care.

Nutritional therapy should never be used to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease, including cancer.

Safe practice is maintained at all times by working collaboratively with other medical practitioners and referring on when needed.

A bit about me

Bec Wilkins

My passion for nutrition stems from a lifetime of multiple health issues myself. Health is not something I have been able to take for granted with a history of immune and hormone related issues, including allergies, chronic fatigue, endometriosis, infertility, and cancer. Nutrition was always the thing that most positively impacted me and how I felt and so I undertook formal training out of a desire to help others too.

As well as a nutritional therapist, I also spend my time as an engineering consultant developing all sorts of medical devices that help to diagnose and treat disease.

I am a problem solver by nature and completely driven to understand how the human body works as an integrated whole, I am really passionate about using a personalised functional medicine approach that aims to take a deeper dive in underlying drivers for chronic health issues. Understanding the things that are negatively influencing your health may allow ways to positively support it.

I have recently undertaken additional cancer specific training with the renowned functional and integrative practitioner Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel’s on her Systems Approach to Cancer course, who is working tirelessly to promote an integrative approach in healthcare by bridging the gap between conventional oncology and complementary therapy to raise the standards in cancer care. I have also trained with Carol Granger via the Institute for Optimum Nutrition to study Applying the latest nutrition evidence for people living with and beyond cancer. I am a member of the British Society for Integrative Oncology and believe in working collaboratively and using evidence informed practice for the benefit of those with cancer.
